I’ve been a Licensed Practical Nurse in Alberta for over 13 years, working in Addictions and Mental Health, Community and Public Health, and the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.

Each of these roles has given me a deep appreciation for the resilience of the human body — and the power of lifestyle in shaping our health. Over the years, I began to see a pattern: many of my patients were struggling not because they lacked care, but because they lacked support in preventive living. In many circumstances, nutrition education often takes a back seat, even though what we eat and drink plays a foundational role in how we feel and heal.

Watching patients of all ages affected by lifestyle-related challenges inspired me to dig deeper. I wanted to understand — and help others understand — how simple, sustainable changes could lead to greater vitality and balance. To build on my nursing experience, I completed a two-year diploma in Holistic Nutrition and Health Coaching. Today, through Heartful Lifestyles, I combine evidence-based knowledge with compassion and lived experience to guide others toward mindful, balanced, and heartful living.
